Fun fact: Namsan Cable car:the first cable car in korea
Unless you are going to Namsan Tower by car, it is most convenient to take the subway or bus from Myeongdong Station and then take the Namsan Tower cable car up.
By subway( Myeongdong Station )
From exit 3 of Myeongdong Station, walk through the alley and stay to your right, passing the 7-Eleven (convenience store), and continue about 7-8 minutes between the Pacific Hotel and the GS25 (convenience store). Namsan Cable Car is at the top of the hill near the Chinese Consulate.
- Myeongdong Station, exit 1
- the Seoul Square bus stop at Seoul Station
Of course, you can go hiking, but I think that would be too difficult. It is recommended to take the Namsan Tower cable car to go up, and to walk down to go down.

If you take the Namsan Cable Car, you do not need to make a reservation online in advance, just purchase it at the ticket office. I think it's quite expensive for a cable car that only takes about 5 minutes, but the view is great and it is convenient.
